This research aimed to develop a low-cost alternative to commercial Nerf guns by combining accessible materials with 3D printing. Designed for early childhood and school-aged users, the toy is a blowgun composed of a simple aluminum electrical conduit paired with custom 3D-printed components: a mouthpiece, handle, and crosshair sight. It is compatible with standard Nerf foam darts and features built-in storage for four darts within the handle. User testing with young children yielded highly insightful results—most participants expressed a clear preference for this simplified, tactile version over the original Nerf gun.
